2. How We Use Information
We use collected information to provide, operate, and improve the Services; process payments; communicate with you; analyze usage; and comply with legal obligations.
3. Sharing of Information
We do not sell personal information. We may share data with service providers, for legal reasons, in business transfers, or with your consent.
4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies (such as web beacons and pixels) to:
- Remember your preferences and settings;
- Keep you signed in;
- Analyze usage of the Services to improve performance and features;
- Deliver relevant communications and measure their effectiveness.
You can control cookies through your browser settings and, in some cases, opt out of tracking. Disabling cookies may limit your ability to use certain features of the Services.
5. Data Security
We apply encryption, access controls, and monitoring, but cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as it is necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy. Specifically:
- Account and billing data is kept while your subscription is active and for as long as required to meet our legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations.
- Customer Data is retained for the duration of your subscription so that you can access and use the Services.
- Usage and log data is retained for a limited period to support security, troubleshooting, and analytics, after which it is deleted or aggregated.
- Free trial data may be deleted if the trial is not converted to a paid subscription.
When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it so it can no longer be associated with you.
7. Data Archiving and Removal
Upon termination or cancellation of your account, Customer Data remains available for a limited grace period (typically 30 days) to allow you to export it. After this period, we delete or archive the data.
- Archiving: Certain data may be moved to secure, restricted-access archival storage where legal, contractual, or regulatory requirements demand longer retention.
- Removal: You may request deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us. We will delete or de-identify it unless we are required to retain it by law.
- Backups: Data may persist in encrypted backups for a limited time after deletion from active systems. It is removed on our standard backup rotation schedule and is not restored to active use.
8. Data Storage
Customer Data and account information are stored on cloud infrastructure operated by reputable third-party providers. Data is protected in transit and at rest using industry-standard encryption, and access is restricted to authorized personnel who need it to operate the Services. Where possible, data is logically separated between customers. The location of storage is described in the International Data Transfers section below.
9. International Data Transfers
Your data may be transferred and processed in the United States or other jurisdictions with different data protection laws.
10. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or withdrawal of consent. Contact us to exercise these rights.
11. GDPR (European Users)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and equivalent laws provide you with certain rights, and this section explains how we comply.
Legal Bases for Processing. We process personal data only where we have a lawful basis to do so, including:
- Contract: to provide the Services you have requested and fulfill our agreement with you;
- Legitimate interests: to operate, secure, and improve the Services, provided these interests are not overridden by your rights;
- Consent: where you have given consent, such as for certain marketing communications or non-essential cookies;
- Legal obligation: to comply with applicable laws and regulatory requirements.
Your GDPR Rights. Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data; the right to data portability; and the right to withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing. You may exercise these rights by contacting us at help@lentil-labs.com. We will respond within the timeframes required by law (generally within one month).
Data Controller and Transfers. Lentil Labs LLC acts as the data controller for personal data we collect directly, and as a processor for Customer Data you upload. Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
Right to Lodge a Complaint. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority if you believe our processing of your personal data infringes applicable law.
12. Children’s Privacy
We do not knowingly collect data from individuals under 18. If we learn we have, we will delete it promptly.
